I was originally inspired to create 2 tracks after hearing an amazing spoken word 'From Manahatta to Samoa in the blink of an eye' from my friend Lou, who I have know for a few years after working with her on Stop Ecocide campaigns and also a couple of her own projects.
After hearing the dance floor and dub versions of 'blink of an eye' Lou sent me another spoken piece 'Ascolta a noi' (listen to us), I'm not sure what category this one would fit into, maybe trip hop? I am really enjoying playing with Lou's words and voice. I'm hoping this project will continue to evolve.
Lou trained as an anthropologist in Germany, Canada and Denmark. She has been actively campaigning towards Indigenous rights and climate justice these past years. In 2023, she is taking a deep dive into the production of soundscapes and releasing a podcast show. find out more at tuneintotheworld.com
